Scriptase ONE began as an attempt to streamline and codify our document production processes. Physicians used phone lines and digital audio recorders to record audio which was then transcribed by our production to create medical documents. On a typical day this amounted to thousands of minutes of audio and documents.

All recordings needed to be transcribed and the documents reviewed and returned within 24 hours with an accuracy of 98% or higher. When documentation requirements were STAT, the turnaround time requirements would be as short as a couple of hours. Often we would need to fax these documents to a different medical facility within the allotted turnaround time.

Scriptase ONE sat at the heart of all these workflows. It tied all of these together to enable, optimize and automate transcription and review workflows for production. Over time we also built in incident tracking and reporting for customer support and account management. Medical information is governed by strong regulation. To comply with these and to protect privacy, Scriptase also had to be a very secure system while compensating for any possible human error.

As Scriptase ONE matured, we started licensing it to our vendors and other documentation service firms. It has been in continuous use since 2009.
